The Etowah Youth Football and Cheer (EYFC) Scholarship Fund was established to ensure that every child in our community has the opportunity to participate in our programs, regardless of financial circumstances. We are committed to supporting families who demonstrate a genuine financial need while maintaining the sustainability of our league.
Program Overview
This is a need-based, income-qualified scholarship. Because funds are limited, grants are awarded based on the severity of financial hardship and the applicant's ability to meet strict eligibility criteria. Scholarships typically cover a portion and/or all of registration fees; families are generally responsible for equipment deposits and any remaining balance.
To maintain the integrity of the fund, we enforce the following strict requirements:
Proof of Income: Applicants must provide the most recent federal tax return or two consecutive months of pay stubs for all wage earners in the household.
Demonstrated Need: Preference is given to families currently receiving federal assistance, such as SNAP, TANF, or the Free/Reduced Lunch Program (documentation required).
Residency: Applicants must reside within the Etowah High School district.
Volunteer Commitment: Scholarship recipients are required to complete a mandatory number of volunteer hours (e.g., concessions, chain gang, or cleaning) throughout the season.
